Alabama Hills - Death Valley | Weekend Vibes
From the tallest point in the lower 48 states to the lowest in north America, we ventured out at 3am to arrive at the base of Mount Whitney to catch sunrise making our way to Death Valley National Park.
The sierras offer a different path and new adventure every single time you visit. Alabama Hills had been on our list for quite some time so we made the trip to explore the boulders that are elegantly placed below the 14,000 foot peak of Mount Whitney. We camped overnight and awoke to a rainbow cast over the entire mountain range.
With the first part of our trip down, it was time to head to our next location in the desert: Death Valley. This part of the trip blew our minds, coming in from the 395 was awesome because the roads curve throughout the canyon offering views over the entire desert. One moment could be sunshine and the next you are running down the hill to escape a rain storm which happened numerous times. Here’s a look at a few of our favorite photos from the past trip. Enjoy!
