When you think of a beach wedding in San Diego there is possibly nowhere more iconic to say I Do, than on the sand outside the Hotel Del Coronado. Jesse and Mia celebrated their wedding day with close family and friends in the middle of August and had a small, beautiful wedding on the coastline along Coronado Island. From reading their vows to one another overlooking the downtown skyline, to running along the massive sand dunes at sunset, their wedding was a dream, take a look at a few from their day.

Being from San Diego we love this stretch of the Southern California coastline and love Jesse and Mia’s idea to have a small beach wedding in San Diego. Coronado, although touristy, offers such a unique vibe and is surprisingly very mellow compared to local spots such as La Jolla and Mission Beach. Coronado offers a laid back, upscale east coast type setting and is perfect for small weddings on the beach in California which we highly recommend!

We love being able to be a part of such an important moment in a couples lives and celebrating that intimate moment in a different setting that is special to you guys is simply amazing. Today there are so many creative ideas and plenty of companies that offer rentals that cater to remote locations, if having a destination wedding or elopement inspires you and looking for somewhat of a different idea than the traditional wedding, you should go for it! A fan of the vast open desert? With endless miles of desert and cacti take advantage of nearby places like Mojave Desert or Death Valley! Guests that are there to support you will find a way to make it to your wedding, and will look back and say wow, that was pretty incredible. Those that push the limits are the ones that stick out, and after shooting so many weddings throughout California, we find the same can be said about an epic ceremony and reception party.
