Boho or Classic wedding - What is right for you?
Being geographically located in Southern California, we have had the privilege to work at so many incredible venues with amazing wedding planners. As our style appeals to different brides, we find ourselves photographing many different styles of weddings. A question was recently asked which do you prefer, and the answer is both. It truly depends on the couple, the flow of the day, and the energy each wedding has. With that said, we thought we would share the characteristics of each - Boho weddings & classic wedding styles.
Choosing between a boho wedding and a classic wedding depends on your personal preferences, style, and the atmosphere you envision for your special day. Here are some characteristics of both styles to help you decide:
Boho Wedding:
Atmosphere: Relaxed, free-spirited, and often held outdoors or in nature.
Decor: Earthy and eclectic with elements like dreamcatchers, macramé, wildflowers, and mismatched furniture.
Attire: Flowy, unconventional dresses for the bride and more casual attire for the groom and wedding party.
Colors: Natural and muted tones mixed with vibrant, bold colors.
Classic Wedding:
Atmosphere: Timeless, elegant, and often held in traditional venues like churches, ballrooms, or estates.
Decor: Clean lines, formal table settings, and classic floral arrangements like roses and lilies.
Attire: Formal attire, such as a white gown for the bride and a suit or tuxedo for the groom and wedding party.
Colors: Neutral colors like whites, creams, and pastels, often with metallic accents.
Ultimately, it comes down to your personal style and the ambiance you want to create. You might also consider a blend of both styles to create a unique and personalized wedding that reflects your tastes and preferences.
