Palm Springs Get Away at Villa Royale | Desert Maternity Shoot
It’s been a busy past week with multiple weddings and engagement shoots here in San Diego and Temecula Valley. We wanted to get away and enjoy the remaining days of what still feels like summer before winter makes it’s presence so we headed out for one of our favorite places to lounge and hang out by the pool. This was our first time staying at The Villa Royale in Palm Springs and so glad we decided to stay here as oppose to some of the more mentioned names such as The Ace or Saguaro. The laid back atmosphere and complimentary shot of tequila upon check in definitely set the tone for the next couple days. After hanging out for a few hours we decided to hit sunset and take a few maternity, check them out below!
Hope you enjoyed taking a look at our mini getaway and little maternity session! We’re almost there!!! About 5-6 more weeks and Juniper will be here!
Britt has always had a thing for the desert. It’s always brought a smile to her face, I always know how happy she is the moment we get out here. Palm Springs is only and hour and a half from home so it’s the perfect spot to venture out for a few days. When we started tossing around the idea of maternity photos it was a no brainer the desert is where she wanted to do them. Sedona has always been one of our favorite places to visit and used to make it an annual trip, but lately it seams to be getting more touristy and the 7-8 hour drive just seemed a little much. We decided on one of our favorite places in Palm Springs and so glad we did.
Hello! We are Andy and Brittney of Astray photography, local San Diego wedding photographers based in Oceanside Ca. We live for getting out and exploring every chance we get! From the mountains to the desert there are endless new places to visit and we try and take full advantage of it! If you are searching for a Southern California wedding photographer and currently planning your wedding and finding how stressful everything has become as of lately and looking to elope instead we would love to share some ideas and epic places to check out. Over the past several months we have worked with many of our brides and grooms to put something special together for them since most venues are still not accepting large ceremonies and receptions, especially indoors. From small backyard airbnbs in Big Sur to forests in upstate New York the past few months has opened us up to photographing weddings in some of the most jaw dropping scenery we could imagine. If eloping with an immediate group of family members and close friends sounds like something that sticks out to you, feel free to message us and we can see what we can do to help! Thanks again for stopping by, Cheers!
